Sonic Tonic Song:

What is  a "Sonic Tonic Song"?

As a child I had a huge collection of 45s and then LPs. I listened to everything from pop, classical, world, folk, blues, jazz.  Early on, I envisioned musical prescriptions being sold at a drug store as a "sonic tonic" to help whatever ails you. There are tunes to move you through any emotional experience. For many years  I have played music for people at the bedside at hospitals and nursing homes and all walks of life.

I love my work and I am constantly looking for ways to use music to connect and contribute to others.  My "Sonic Tonic Song"  is a one-of-a kind unique offering where no two songs are alike. Each song is created just for you. I will compose an improvised short instrumental piece using my classical guitar and/or Native American flute. Be aware that I do not have a sophisticated recording studio to work with. What you will get is an unpolished honest recording from the heart. (the quality is not studio but very good for this purpose)

How  do I order?

If interested, send me an email <blueoconnell@gmail.com> with a short statement about yourself or the person it is for. Then based on what you have said, I will compose a unique piece for you and send in email as an mp3 file.

How do I pay?

I ask a donation to my papal account (to blueoconnell@gmail.com). (if you don't have paypal, you can send a check) You can "pay what you want". My work is a labor of love where I receive modest compensation from non-profit organizations. Your donation is a way you can support my work and vision as a therapeutic musician and songwriter. A way we can connect. Sound like fun?

Soundtracks

As a multi-instrumentalist I enjoy composing music for soundtracks. Here is the latest soundtrack I did the music for. It is called, "What is a Cochlear Implant?" and it is a video done by Rachel Chaikof of Cochlearimplantsonline.com and its purpose is to create awareness of cochlear implants. Since I am a cochlear implant recipient, this project was close to my heart.

My music was featured in an astrology audio series for Planet Waves. I am very proud to have been a part of that Here is where you can find the information about the LISTEN project.

If you have a video or radio program needing some musical accompaniment, I'd love to work with you on it!
